What's New in the DrivePro App: Smarter Notifications, One-Tap Disarm and a Home Screen Widget
Share
We have been improving the DrivePro mobile app to make everyday vehicle management quicker and more useful.
This update focuses on the moments when you need to act quickly: responding to an alert, checking a vehicle’s status, opening the right screen, or disarming a vehicle without searching through the app.
The latest improvements include:
- Notifications that take you directly to the relevant DrivePro screen
- One-tap disarming from a movement alert
- Links that open in the DrivePro app instead of a web browser
- A new Android home screen widget
- Quick Actions on both iOS and Android
Whether you manage one vehicle or a small business fleet, these changes mean fewer taps between receiving information and taking action.
When a vehicle needs your attention, DrivePro now helps you get from alert to action in seconds.
Notifications now take you to the right place
A notification is most useful when it leads directly to the information behind it.
Previously, Android notifications could open the DrivePro app without taking you to the relevant vehicle, trip or geofence. You then had to find the information yourself.
That has now been fixed. Android and iOS notifications now work consistently, taking you to the relevant part of the app when you tap them.
Depending on the alert, this could mean opening:
- The vehicle involved
- A recorded trip
- A geofence event
- Driver feedback
- A crash report
- A vehicle reminder
- Other supported alert details
This is particularly useful when you are managing several vehicles. Instead of opening the app and searching through your vehicle list, you can go straight to the event that needs your attention.
More alert types now support direct navigation
Direct navigation is not limited to vehicle and trip alerts. The update also improves how the app handles:
- Driver feedback notifications
- Crash report notifications
- Reminder notifications
- Geofence notifications
- Vehicle-related alerts
For example, if you receive a crash report, tapping the notification takes you to the relevant report. If a reminder is due, the app can take you to the associated vehicle or reminder information.
The aim is simple: the notification should lead you to the reason it was sent.
Disarm a vehicle directly from a notification
If you receive a movement-while-armed alert, you may already know what has happened. Perhaps a family member has moved the car, a driver has started a shift, or you forgot to disarm the vehicle before using it.
You can now deal with the alert directly from the notification.
On both iOS and Android, supported movement alerts include a Disarm action. Tap it and DrivePro disarms the vehicle without requiring you to:
- Open the app
- Find the correct vehicle
- Open the vehicle controls
- Tap the disarm button

This is designed for quick, practical actions when you are busy or on the move. There is no need to navigate through the app first, and no delay caused by searching for the right vehicle.
You can still open the full notification and view the vehicle details whenever you need more information.
A useful addition for vehicle security
DrivePro’s armed movement alerts help you identify unexpected movement. The new notification action adds a faster way to respond when the movement is expected.
For example:
- You receive an alert when a vehicle leaves its overnight location
- You recognise that an authorised driver has taken it
- You tap Disarm from the notification
- The vehicle is ready for normal use without additional app navigation

DrivePro links now open in the app
DrivePro links shared by email, text message or another app can now open directly in the DrivePro mobile app.
Previously, a link could open in Safari or Chrome, even when the DrivePro app was installed on your phone. The updated app now handles these links more smoothly on both platforms.
This means a DrivePro link can take you directly into the relevant app screen instead of sending you to a browser first.
It is useful when:
- A colleague sends you a DrivePro link by text
- You receive a link in an email
- Someone shares a vehicle, trip or account link with you
- You open a DrivePro link from another application
The result is a more direct experience, with fewer steps between receiving a link and viewing the information it contains.
If the app is not installed, your phone will handle the link in the normal way. To get started with DrivePro, you can visit the activation page or contact the DrivePro team for help.
New Android home screen widget
Android users can now add a DrivePro widget to their phone’s home screen.
The widget is designed for quick access to one selected vehicle. When you add it, choose the vehicle you want to monitor. The widget then displays its current armed or disarmed state.
You can also toggle the vehicle’s arm state directly from the widget.
How the widget works
- Add the DrivePro widget to your Android home screen.
- Select the vehicle you want it to control.
- Check the vehicle’s current arm state at a glance.
- Use the one-tap control to arm or disarm it.

This can be helpful for a vehicle you use regularly, such as:
- Your own car or van
- A company vehicle assigned to you
- A vehicle parked at home
- A work van used throughout the day
- A fleet vehicle that needs frequent security checks
You do not need to open DrivePro fully just to check whether the vehicle is armed or to change its state.
The widget is currently available for Android devices. Both Android and iOS users can also use the new notification and Quick Action features described below.
Quick Actions from the DrivePro app icon
You can now reach key DrivePro actions by long-pressing the app icon.
On iPhone, this is sometimes referred to as a Haptic Touch action. On Android, it is commonly called a long-press shortcut.
The shortcut menu includes:
Open Dashboard
Choose Open Dashboard to go directly to the DrivePro dashboard.
This is useful if the app was previously left on another screen and you want to return to your main vehicle overview quickly.
Disarm My Vehicle
If you currently have a vehicle assigned to you, the shortcut menu can show Disarm My Vehicle.
Tap it to disarm your assigned vehicle without opening the full app interface.
This option appears automatically when it is relevant to your account. If you do not have a vehicle assigned to you, the option will not be shown.
Quick Actions are available on both iOS and Android, giving you a faster route to common tasks regardless of which phone you use.
Built for simpler everyday fleet management
These changes are small individually, but they make a meaningful difference to how quickly you can manage a vehicle.
You can now:
- Tap an alert and go directly to the relevant information
- Disarm a vehicle from a movement notification
- Open DrivePro links directly in the app
- Check and control one vehicle from an Android home screen widget
- Open the dashboard from the app icon
- Disarm an assigned vehicle using a Quick Action
For individual vehicle owners, that means less time spent looking for controls. For small and medium-sized businesses, it helps drivers and managers respond to alerts without working through unnecessary screens.
